Does anyone have this experience, your META Title on GOOGLE Search Result suddenly change?

Some reason Google just make it different than your META Tag title you have used on the website?
is this consider some sort of Penalty? The ranking is not dropped but it seems stuck on page 3 - 4

Please share your experience / advise

Thanks

SEs may show the Meta Title & Description written on the Page in their Search Results. However, it’s not always the case when SE’s results. Sometimes it will be different from your meta inputs. So, it's not a penalty from Google. No worries :)

you can find exact and detailed answer to your question here at quora

I have experience meta description changes, as that is a normal practice by Big G when serving content to the web surfer - they will try to show relevant content to the browser.
But I have not experienced meta title changes - did you set a title for your page, or is it set by a seo tool? If it is by an seo plugin, the plugin may be mulfunctioning?

In my opinion as long as your rankings do not drop, it is not a penalty. But you may lose clicks if the new title is bad. How good is the title they are using now?

It's not a penalty.

Google chooses titles and snippets which offers some summary in their opinion, they don't always show your precise title or other metadata.

No, I don't use any kind of plugin or tools, its straightforward HTML5 site only

The issue is only certain keywords that showing this different meta title not all? does this mean anything to you guys?

Some of my internal pages is ranking but it showing different meta title on different keywords, some keywords on the same URL still showing regular meta title

Not a penalty but Google will pick up the most relevant word phrases from your web pages and show them to the end user instead picking up your given static meta Title or Description.

That's not a penalty if your rankings aren't affected. Do you remember doing anything in your website codes that could have possibly caused this?
