Is this black hat seo or white hat?

If you don't get linked natural by other sites then you are a black hatter to the eyes of Google, no way.

Although in my eyes making profiles/posts on Web 2.0 is not that black hat at all... I highly recommend Rank Leap for the Profile submission work on web 2.0 properties.

Forgot to say something, was going to add unique articles manually.

of course black hat mate as you posted at /black-hat-seo
:p

Black hat, white hat... as long as it works, who cares?

No point in building 100 sites and then few months later they all lose rank because of some shady linking...

Thats why it is good to have a site portfolio of grey, black and white sites.

I had this exact discussion on the forum about 2 weeks ago. The general concensus was that there is no white hat. Any link you build to your own website is considered black hat. Manual or automated, unique or spun doesn't matter. Once you build a link to your own website put on that black fedora and wear it with pride

For me :

Black Hat : Auto artificial backlinking to manipulate SERPS but the website behind it is crappy / spammy / clickjacky
Grey Hat : Same as above but for legitimate websites
White Hat : Manual Link Building mostly including directories submission.

Black will look totally white hat, surely?Hat but if you do it properly & build valuable properties then it will look white hat..Off to look up Rank Leap now.

Grey hat ;)

SEO itself is all blackhat really. I've seen good people buried in the search rankings due to spammy SEO optimized websites taking up the top spots.

In G's eyes, that's blackhat, but for that matter everything is blackhat in G's eyes... Lol.
In terms of this forum, that is considered grey. :D

It's blackhat, by google's definition.
