I also think that this is someone's private personal initiative. Perhaps the user is building up his activity to get JRvip status sooner, or just promoting his services in some way.

This is banned but hard to prove always and mods hands are tied in most cases due to certain policies that help the sophisticated culprits gamble the system.

I followed up twice on that privately and never got a response from the team so this has been going on ever since. Exactly as it was before it just goes on today... go figure.

I don't know about that, but i know for a fact a lot of people around here pose as buyers, even without having any relationship with the seller. I have no idea why would so many do this. I don't even think they can bump their post count from doing this.
