I get email notifications from one of my wordpress blogs when someone leaves a comment. I've noticed i've had a fair few spam ones that look like the following below: whats annoying is ive had around 30 of these so far today in the past half hour!

If I do a whois lookup on the domain it doesnt actually exist.. so whats the deal here? is this a xrummer blast? and if so what benefit is there from spamming a non existent domain name?
