Is this a xrummer blast?

I get email notifications from one of my wordpress blogs when someone leaves a comment. I've noticed i've had a fair few spam ones that look like the following below: whats annoying is ive had around 30 of these so far today in the past half hour!

If I do a whois lookup on the domain it doesnt actually exist.. so whats the deal here? is this a xrummer blast? and if so what benefit is there from spamming a non existent domain name?

xRumer is for forums, not for wordpress blogs. just use a plugin like akismet or mollom to get rid of em.

xrumer can be used for blogs as well but this one most likely is from prstorm i think

I noticed the same type of spamming on my blog. I was wondering the same thing since it is just a bunch of jumbled letters. They might be testing out some software to see if it works first.

I got a whole bunch of these on my wordpress blogs. SOme had as many as 50 comments. So I deleted the comments and installed Akismet. Xrumer owners struggle to get past Akisment because it's so good.

Still wonder what the use of the random mumble-jumble is
