Unearthed an old ebook from the heaps I have in my hard disc. It's one from 2008 about cashing in on hot trends by putting up quick blogs on these trends and monetizing with Adsense. Traffic generation methods include social bookmarking, Yahoo Answers, even Twitter.

You guys think this would still work these days? Or will it work using other traffic techniques instead? Anyone here killing it using this idea?

I have a blogspot blog about the news "trend" with donald trump and his words against mexicans. its in spanish. I just translated all the news media to spanish and added few extra words. the blog is getting around 200 hits per day. I already got like $20 bucks from it with adsense.

Traffic just from search engines?

Most of it. and I share the articles on few news websites with their spanish versions (CNN, TELEMUNDO, etc..) got clicks from there and I made the titles of each post a little bit more spicy.

In my opinion asking if methods like this still ''work'' is irrelevant. It just depends on how you execute it. For now and the foreseeable future this method still works. Just make sure you're not making the same generic BS that everyone else is.

Did you do any onsite SEO to your Blogger blog? Mind sharing the steps? :)

Yes, with the right niche and promotional means, im sure it'll work OP.
You can do the same with content lockers and CPA as well, instead of just Adsense.

Possibly, depending on how you go about it, you can even make things go viral.

Why not? Just try it out. I think it can work if you do it right.

You can never know until you try.

this could absolutely still work, you just might need to tweak the formula a bit and do something new to get peoples interest. Think about those clickbait headlines that taboola ads always use.
