Okay, so My competitor is having .xyz domain and ranked #1 with exact matched Title (3 words). The domain is just 2 months old, have no backlinks what so ever. Moreover, the domain doesn't have even 40 words article.

I was able to track all of his domains. He used almost 10-12 xyz domains and 9 of them are on 1st page of google with not a single backlink! They all have 40-50 words in it.

I checked backlinks with ahrefs, majestic, moz, openlinkprofiler and they are showing 0 backlinks.

I need some suggestions guys... is it really possible ? is there any trick to rank xyz domains ?

There's a good chance that your competitor blocks ahrefs, majestic, etc. crawlers in their .htaccess file and lets the Google crawler through. There is a possibility that you can find their backlinks if they use naked urls but chances are there are many other keyword variations in their backlink profile that will be difficult to find.

Blocked crawlers via .htaccess or very low competition kws.

Can you suggest me any backlink crawler other then ahrefs, majestic... I will test and reply back in thread. I really doubt that he created a single backlink. Also, I'm not able to find his backlinks through google search either.

Any major crawler is easy to block in htaccess and it's likely that is what your competitor has done. A Google search would only show backlinks if the domain name is used as anchor text.

If your competitor doesn't have any links there could be a chance that your link building is over-optimized. Also other factors link domain name, h1 tags, and domain age may be in effect.

Iv seen some sites like this before and most of them had a 301 redirect from an expired domain.

Theres no magic in SEO :P

I got a way to check it. I will create 50-60 blog comments for his domain. They easily get crawled so I will see if they updated in ahrefs.

Well, 301 redirect doesn't give immediate boost to new domains. not #1

The links would be blocked on the linking domains. You would have to find those first then check.

If you would like, pm me the domain and I will take a look for you

He can't, he has already covered this excuse. He can't because he does not want to give his niche away. So instead all he can do is just keep rabbiting on about how good and magic xyz domains are. Cringe worthy marketing that has been seen many times before by xyz domains.

yep something sees off, 9 xyz domains on the first page with almost no content or links. Hard to believe

I just came across an .xyz domain ranking number 1 for a keyword with 30.000 monthly searches in the health niche. According to similarweb, the site has been getting around 20k visitors a month for the past 3 months. But the thing is it`s a shitty 2-page website site with spun content. It looks like someone made it as a joke, just to show that they can :D

Will be interesting to see how long it sticks...

Did you try in Google using:

links:domain.com

Replace "domain.com" with one of the domain.xyz domain names.

Google then lists pages with backlinks. It won't list all the backlink pages, but it will list some. If the person is blocking link checkers, he certainly won't block Google, so this method can help to see some backlinks. Might reveal something. Let us know.

Abra-ka-Dabra!
Share the domain so we can have a look and tell. Its hard to tell like this

Wait, are you saying that .xyz TLD itself is the product he's trying to subtly market? Aren't there multiple registrars for those and if so, wouldn't what he's doing be a useless tactic?
