I am planning to strategize my linkbuilding and this is what I want to do

Create a subdomain and point all links to it, then redirect to domain homepage.

Alternatively

Create a page and do same?

Let me know if it's a good linkbuilding practice.
I want something that won't endanger my linkbuilding/homepage

Yes, it looks good. It is same like buying expired domain with high quality links and redirect that domain to your website. The only difference is, you are building a link and redirecting. It works and you also will be in control in case if domain get penalized or whatever. You can remove the redirect and resubmit for consideration

Am I missing something here? He said subdomain, that's basically the same domain. If the subdomain gets penalized, the whole domain is gone.

Newbie, just gave me an offpoint answer peharps to get points

I don’t get it.

Why would you do that?

Link building is about sending links to your website, home and inner pages.

Just don’t build shit links?

Building to subdomains actually gives the main url Linkjuice,
Then 301 the subdomain to homepage

Why so much trouble? Just create a new 'resource' page on your site and create links to it.

I'm not seeing any point of doing this. . What's your motive ?
You said it'd pass link juice to the main domain, that's wrong .. firstly because the subdomain is also on the main domain.

Secondly, .. no point in doing this .. :anyway:

Pointing all links to a particular page or subdomain is not a good idea. I wonder what made you think like this.

In fact, you have high chance of getting penalized with this kind of practice.

Thanks, I'd rather distribute

Yes, it works fine.

How about using URLs shorteners and removing the redirect in any bad case?

what you exactly looking for ? Is there any point to explain ? or simply you don't know what you doing or what you looking for?

Link building from sub domain is not an good idea.Rather then you should work on your silo structure and make your internal back-linking better.
