ive decided to make a blog and include the following (early days) ghost stories, celebrity, funny, shocking, technology, films, sports and news.. Will also throw in some random 'top 10s' every now and again.
Will promote on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
Only planning to make money through ads.

So I've made that fairly short so you lot don't lose interest.. Just from what you guys can see, am I making any mistakes?

Wanting to use all white hat methods with everything.

Thanks in advance, Jordan.

That's a lot of niches in one blog, I would target more narrow if I were you. Have you done keyword research or are you only planning to advertise on social media?

It's good if you can drive traffic. The main source of traffic for these kind of sites are mainly on social networking.

It's still very early days but I'm looking into that tomorrow. I'd be interested in doing any of them really.. In your opinion which niche(s) is/are easiest/most profitable? And I'm going to buy hosting and Wordpress and make a proper website

Yeah that's what I've read.. I'm kinda worried I'll put in all this effort, money and time for nothing in return. Does it sound profitable to you?

Why tomorrow?
WordPress is free.
Do whatever you can produce tons of content in.

Hosting isn't and although it's not expensive I want to concrete a plan in first. And honestly I'm chucking myself in the deep end with all this, I've read a lot but have a feeling I'm going to fail miserably lmao.

Any tips from anyone or personal experiences would be much appreciated

You need to discipline yourself to create content. You will lose motivation and not stay persistent. If you write 5 valuable articles a day until you hit 500 articles, you'll be a successful man. But 95% of people reading this don't have that discipline so you'll do 4 one day and then down to 2, you'll miss a whole day here and there and it'll fall apart and you'll fail and move on.
Hosting is like $5 a month, not that much at all. You can make that from writing a single article for anyone here on the forum.

It is a good idea but not the best that you can have. The niche are just too many for the blog. You need to have that one niche which when someone thinks of your blog, he or she thinks of it. With that, you will be able to do a lot of things. You first be able to avoid having divided attention and focus on one major area. It will work out if you try it. Keep informing us on the progress too.

It's a good idea if you feel confident you can push 50,000+ unique visitors per day to the site. Unless you are doing traffic acquisitions to the site, it's pretty much going to be a fun hobby for the first many, many months as you build up your social audience/followers. It's a good way to learn though.

If you start now, you will find out early as to how long would you be consistent. motivation in the long run will soon fade away. But best of luck to you!

If I see money coming in (doesn't have to be good money, just something to keep me motivated) I'll 100% carry on and seriously won't stop. My only fear is that I won't get the hang of it and won't be able to write great content

Putting it like that I think I will decide against having so many. I was just thinking of trying to be the 'go-to' place for all them niches.. Maybe im pushing the boat out too far Thanks for the reply and I will definitely keep you Informed. I'll start a journey thread once I have a proper plan

So with 50k UV how much do you think I'd be making? It's not the time it would take to make the money that's the problem but I feel like I won't make any money at all considering i have no idea what to do (practically) I've read way more than I need to

I get what you mean but if I was making money my motivation would go up aswell as my traffic and social media accounts so I'd feel more comfortable :)

In my personal opinion this is a decent idea if your trying to go legit but I think it would take a long time to really make a decent income but I could be wrong as a lot of ideas could seem mediocre or even bad and make you lots of money if you just know how to implement them correct.

Because if google thinks your trying to manipulate your rankings by building multiple sites and linking them all together she very well may penalize you. Your better off building a scilo and writing on all those different topics and going into detail on one website. Become an authority site rather then have 20 sites on different aspects of your niche.
