Is this a good idea (ebook-batch file-cpa)

    Hi all just thought i'd get your opinons on the following plan.

    I'm writing an ebook which i will offer as an incentive to sign up to my newsletter, i was thinking about writing a batch file program and then compiling the ebook and the batch file together.

    When you open the ebook a url from my site will open up and say thank you for reading our ebook blah blah maybe you'd like a look at ...... cpa

    Your thoughts please

    It's a very good idea, but people will be suspicious when they see that the ebook is not .pdf or .txt

    This was one of my concerns too, people are suspicious of .exe files, another option would be to embed the link into the pdf but that would require that they click it.

    Agree - not a good idea...

    If you want to harvest some info - just setup a register to download form or something...

    I think you have misunderstood, the information harvest will take place when they subscribe to my newsletter
