Hi guys, a big thanks to everyone here at BHW for all the amazing content which is available.

I am currently starting to build niche sites, and SEO is the one topic I have been struggling to get my head round. I've read countless threads and Ebooks, and have come to the conclusion that I have a vague idea of which SEO techniques should be implemented, and which ones should not.

I am going to write below a checklist of the SEO steps I plan on taking to start ranking my site, any advice/criticism or songs of praise would be much appreciated, as I am not one hundred percent sure if my ideas are correct.

So here's what I'm thinking

- 5 unique articles per week to web 2.0 sites with a link back to my site
- 10 submissions to free web directories per week
- 10 forum profiles being set up per week with my link in my profile
- 5 unique articles per week to article directories with a link back to my site (such as ezine etc)
- 1 hub page per keyword per week with a link back to my site

Is that a good start to get my site ranking? Apologies if i've made some silly mistakes or whatever, but I just want to be clear before I start my SEO campaign.

Many thanks for all your time and help

Al

Link diversity mate, don't forget to do it. A huge factor to SEO this days is the content. I wrote two articles last month from a medium competitive keyword and it out ranked Engadget. It was about a product review so Product + Review was the keyword. The thing is, I literally didn't do any backlinking (seriously), it was just pure on-page SEO.

That's pretty neat. You reckon the steps i've listed are good or not?

would submitting chapters of plr books chapter at a time, ofcourse i would spin them, but would it still be legitimate?

- Not really 5 articles per week, you can varies from 3 -7 articles per week. Try to be as unique and random as possible. Use a wide range of keywords as well as synonyms. Anchor text should be varied too and use about 10% of generic anchor like click here, click this, check this site out, etc.
- Web directories is not necessary except DMOZ.
- 3 - 5 profiles everyday but should not more than 20 - 30.
- Sound reasonable, 5 articles to article directories per week is ok.
- You can also try Squidoo and other hubpage-style sites.

Just my 2cent.
