So, i've always thought about opening a restaurant and as i approach the subtle age of 21 i thought it was time to start looking into things. I was thinking of names and thought of one that is very simply yet highly brandable.
I looked for the domains and recognised this:
.com - parked and available for over $8k
.co.uk - not parked but nowhere to be seen
.net - parked and available for over $1k
.org - freely available
I'm thinking of buying the .org
I was wondering, even if i brought the domain but didn't use it (although if i ever opened a restaurant i would, because it is a great name!) would it be a good purchase/ do you think the .org would be worth anywhere near the .net or .com in the future?
As far as premium domains go it is pretty good and there are a huge number of other keywords that the site would be good for. In fact if not used for a restaurant it could make a very good authority site.
I forgot to mention: The keyword has 1800 Local US searches a month and no EMDs or valuable sites ranking in the first page of google. It's only $0.43 CPC but the other keywords it has a chance with are quite valuable and also have reasonably low competition.
