Is this a genuine PR 8

You need to make some more checks but this is a start

This is an interesting one. I was always led to believe you use the command:-

info:domain.com to check on Google to see if the results match. If they do it's probably genuine, if not it's fake. Well they don't match. You get this domain instead
HTML:
www.nato.int/internships/

I then went and did a whois check and found out that the domain owner is Head of Operations, ICTM at NATO. His site you are checking has a link from the Nato.int site which is definitely a pr8 and it has a few .gov, .edu links. So it's a got a lot of powerful inbound links plus the owner is fairly important too, thus I would say it is genuine......

That single un link alone is 3/4 of the way to PR8 just because of it's authority.

Where are you guys checking for fake PR? I use some sites that keep saying PR N/A or 0 for every site (including mine, which I know is a PR2).

Then I see some that get tricked by the 301 redirect. No sure way to tell?:o

so still non the wiser....its taking bids and so far its going for $260.

everything I have checked it on says it genuine

The guy who owns it is the head of a nato dept. I can't imagine he's involved in some shady redirect to produce fake pr. I wonder if he even realizes it's expired!

Seo spyglass is telling it it use to have 60 links. 4 pr6, 4 pr5, etc etc coming from badass domains link nato.int. Now NONE of those domains are linking back. As soon as someone buys this i predict it will hold pagerank for a few days or untill next pr update then boom to nothing.

nah, them guys at Nato are never involved in anything shady

Hum.. how is it not shady when I simply typed

Info:Natointernships.com

and it reveals the redirected domain behind it already.
I have no reason to believe this is a real PR.

Also suspicious, I checked the http header status for natointernships.com and it came back: HTTP/1.1 200 OK
