Sometimes when I'm over active on IG, I will go to follow someone and it will reject my follow. Sometimes this lasts for several hours to a day. Is this technically a temporary ban or would I be notified? Also, does anyone have any idea on how long this lasts for in most cases?

yes, that's a temporary ban and as you noticed, there aren't any hard limits how long it lasts

Stay off for 24-36 hours and you should be OK. Lay off the speed and go slower.

Sometimes if you hit the follow button and it doesn't follow you wait a couple hours OR if your unlucky 24 hours.

It happens to me sometimes as well. I think there is a certain limit you hit and then you just have to wait. So far works for me.

This is known as a temp ban. If you lay go offline for a few hours try again if no joy try a day or two then start back slowly
