Do not spend so much on domains. Keep the funds for seo.

Is your project worth the price of 1k? You might be able to hold the value and increase it well with a good website that gains a traffic foothold on the topic. But can/will you? Most I ever paid for a good domain is $150, so I'm a noob! lol But I had to have it, and its niche and unique, and I plan to keep it forever, and keep building it. Best of luck.
