While I was in college I had the pleasure of attending an informational meeting for new FreeMason members (Philadelphia Chapter).
You need 3 active members within the community to "vouch" for you in order to become a member, sadly one of my 3 ended up moving to California and so I wasn't able to join.
Quite honestly it's just a bunch of old guys who hang out with their wives on the weekend...
Nothing really too interesting for a 20-something year old...

The masons are rated the #1 organisation to join as rated by askmen.com But they have too many "old" rules that are vaque.
