Is there really Whitehat SEO?

I tell this to people all the time. What google really wants you to do is sit back and let it happen "naturally." White hat SEO is an oxymoron.
Google ONLY cares about their own bottom line naturally, they'd like the rest of the web to be altruistic and care about the good of search for all mankind and only build informative sites while not caring to make a penny. It's such a crock.

Whitehat SEO is actually possible, but being WhiteHat is pretty difficult.

Basically you need to build "amazing" websites and let people link to you naturally. After you get natural links you need to make sure your content is spot on.

Thats just being a web designer :)

The hat I wear is....."Do wtf I need to do to get to no.1" hat.

That's what everyone should be wearing.
Sure? May it be the reason why there are some jerks always trying to scam others?

Well, if you work for your links with original press releases, guest posts that are acttualy unique, generating relevant content i can think of this as white hat seo.

yes its true but there is a difference between white hat seo and black hat seo.

Actually, pretty much ALL SEO, except for on-page according to Google's best practice guidelines, is blackhat.

Google's point of view is that any activity meant to skew rankings in your favour is a no-no. That would include stuff like manually building backlinks and all the other shit so-called whitehatters swear by.

So all whitehatters, get off your high horses and learn the fucking rules. You're just as blackhat as the self-admitted blackhatters.
I have read Google's TOS. This really doesn't seem to be the case at all. They outline black hat in very specific terms; things like invisible keyword stuffing is listed. Essentially, really black-hat black-hat is listed.

That's not real blackhat blackhat, that is just plain stupid.

Whitehat or black hat, when I talk to customers I tell them what I do is proactive SEO. You can be last and poor knowing you played the rules according to a monopolistic corporation or you can be number 1 and make money. Your choice in life. If you are going to be proactive be smart about it and always buffer the money site!

Frankly, I am shocked that somebody has yet to sued Google for their site deindexing particularly when they shroud their algorithm in secrecy. Their behavior done not meet the criteria for transparency that we expect in modern corporations.

The way i see it, White Hat SEO is made up of unique contents and Black Hat is simply spammy/spun contents.

Like if its a blog comment, it has to be relevant to the topic. Articles have to be unique and hand written by a human.

All SEO tactics which are legal are white hat.

Blog comment backlink is white hat.

Using scrapebox for it to spam thousandss = blackhat.

Same way for forum profiles and Social bookmarking etc.

making backlinks and gettting a PR = whitehat.

Simple cloaking the link = blackhat.

writing unique content = whitehat.

Get TBS and spinning and posting or simply copying = blackhat.

making a blog = whitehat

Making an autoblog = blackhat.

I noticed you didn't anything about relevant content? So is uniqueness and hand spun your sole definition of white hat? So if you hired an army of workers to create comments for your site that's white hat and would appease the Google gods? And let me understand this, the content has to be manually produced by humans so it can pass muster by a computer algorithm? At least in the past there were humans who judged content for its relevancy within the SE's.

You guys are tying yourself up in knots trying to appease the arbitrary rulings of Google. The definition of whitehat/blackhat is just an imaginary shackle that IMers self-impose and has no moral relevancy. Your only concern should be is the technique effective in getting my site ranked.

If you want to impose imaginary boundaries on your IM efforts go ahead and knock your socks off! Just remember very few millionaires or billionaires made their money being nice guys!

I think there is white hat :) but most of us doesn't know how to master it. There are sites #1 or #2 on G and they have 7-15 links maximum from other sites.

I don't know if I'm allowed because I'm noob but I will post a link here for example. It is no 2 today on G , but sometimes is no 1 for "Bubble Breaker" kw:

Yeah - I can't post the link but it is the kw domain with org extension.

So, what do you think, besides that guy is a genius?
