Hello Everyone,
For far too long, too many people have told me that 'as long as you can write well you can mint money' and for better or worse i have started believing that now. I am thinking of starting a BST here but before i put down that $127 (which is a small fortune for me now) I'd like to get some opinions.

Assuming that i write fantastic, grammatically perfect, easily readable content in an acceptably quick time-frame, Would i be able to really make some serious money ($100 a day) ? I have been an online writer for about 8 years now and just recently lost the 2 gigs that paid me decently. Which leaves me with only about a gazillion hours of free time everyday.

I have gone through a lot of samples of what people consider as good writing here and i am confident that i can top that easily.

So kind folks, fill this thread with your advice. I have a feeling that finally i have found an idea that could work for me, just need the courage to go ahead with it :)

Thank you everyone !!

Do it! Im always looking for new article service providers

Let me tell you that my biggest problem is finding a QUALITY content writer. It is hard for me to find someone that is capable of writing at a university/college level when needed, and able to product mediocre stuff for the less important needs.

There will always be people who realize the time is more valuable then their money and their in IM. I'm looking for content as we speak so if you could provide consistent quality I'd be willing to give it a try.

If you are a Good Content writer then you are a machine for creating $$$

Everybody is looking for high quality content for their sites but unfortunately not everyone will be willing to pay what you may expect, regardless of your talent. I suggest you take a look in the marketplace here and see what articles are going for. That may give you a better idea of what to expect with selling content.

100 dollars a day writing 4 articles at 25 bucks a pop would not be bad. But you may end up having to bang out 20 articles a day at 5 bucks a piece. That can burn you out real fast. I am not trying to discourage you... just giving you a reality check and some food for thought before you get into this.

People are willing to pay good money for high quality content but proving yourself and getting such clients may take some time. Just do your due diligence before shelling out that money for a BST.

Good luck Bro.... and love your avatar.

I must admit I'm stunned lol. I never knew guys from BHW would pay money for content writing. I'm lurking the forums for quite some time now, trying to grasp some stuff to kick start my ideas, however, if you guys really need content writer, I might qualify. For writing samples and all the good stuff, do poke me.

And no, I didn't just create an account to advertise my skills, I've just had nothing useful to share ever, since I'm new to this.

Peace!

Thank you everyone for the replies. This encouragement really means a lot to me :)
and i am going to do it. Thank you once again kind folks :)

You put my thoughts better than i could've. I see people charging less than 1$ for 100 words and it depresses me because i put a lot of thought, personal style and research in my articles. And i used to think that the ?35 a pop i got at my last job was less. I miss the good old days where one 4-500 article would pay u $65.

Are there people who would pay say $10-$15 for a well written article. I am talking an article with a personality. Maybe there are people who are not satisfied with just correct grammar & spelling. That's a given right ? for some reason that seems to be th emost popular requirement over here.

I thank you for your comment bro and Kiss Army forever :D

As someone who offers this service in the BST section, I can confirm that it's a bit harder than it seems. Jdog is right. If you were writing a few good articles each day and getting paid a decent amount for doing it, it would be fine. However, in order to compete, you have to offer them for around $5 per article. Writing 20 articles per day is mind numbing, especially when most of them are about penis pills and diet products.

As I've frequently suggested, it's better to think of writing or freelancing as a dependable, never ending source of quick cash or working capital for your IM business, instead of a $100/day main conduit of online earnings. Think more on the lines of $25-30 a day from 5-6 articles tops, as that pace is sustainable, without burning you out. Use that 'trickle' cash to pay stray IM bills as you build your real income centers from building monetized sites, offline SEO consulting, reselling or wholesaling, and so on.

If you really want more from writing, check the thread on high-paying writing sites, qualify for a few of them, and concentrate on writing several high quality articles a day for $15 on up each. Or, if you are clever, you can plan to 'stack' the writing so as to bank 2-3 ways from the same content (e.g., draft an ebook or ecourse in article-sized chunks, sell the chunks as articles, re-write the articles for your own site, convert the text into audio or video files to sell as a WSO, etc.).

I started making money by writing articles then developed to marketing with content, etc.. Money makin aint easy, but will happen with the right skills

25 dollars per day is actually a lot from where I come from. If this is a feasible amount per day I won't mind writing about "penis pills" all day. LOL. Actually one of the vets suggested I do content writing because of one of my posts that he saw. Hope this pans out for me. Based on one of the above posters comments, I think I'll let content writing be my seed money for future projects. Am willing to start out slow, hopefully in a few weeks time I'll be able to afford my own domain and host. Then while I'm writing content I'll also be doing some IM. Very nice posts on this thread. The noobs who can write should see this. It will help them start out.

I've been able to regularly get $7-10 for 500 word articles. The hard part is finding clients who don't want spammy SEO writing with a million criteria. Textbroker and other services like it make it difficult to make a living when you're constantly being boxed in by the buyer's requirements (which often times barely make sense). Forums are definitely the place to get started; avoid Fiverr as you barely get any money and it takes 14 days to get paid.

ha ha @Sceptre i feel you... being a writer sometimes can get on your nerves especially when writting about the same thing differently.... i experience the writer's block so many times.. but what to do? we have to make a living!

You can see a lot on the Internet offering content writing services. The problem is, you can rarely find those that can deliver top quality content. If you believe you have the skills, you can definitely earn. Many people are looking for quality content writers. If you can deliver well, you will continually have clients ordering articles from you.

Well Quantum my friend thank you for your encouraging words. However i must say its a huge struggle to find clients and till now i've been doing shitty 2$ articles on very weird topics for fussy clients on iwriter hoping to reach an elite status.

To think that somewhere in the world there are people who are dying to get some good quality content and i don't know who they are just breaks my heart :P

I charge around $35.00 an article. I try to sell packages of 30 articles. I get my own clients by sending an email to their webmaster or the person in charge of the website.

Internet marketers are not the best clients to write for. They are cheap and most don't make that much money. Try to write to larger websites/companies. They are happy to pay $35.00 -$50.00 per article. They think that is quite reasonable.

Need an idea for what niche to write to? Try something in golf for starters. Go to Google and type in, " golf articles contact us." Start opening up each website. Send them a short, friendly email asking if they would like to buy some quality articles to use for their website? You will get lots of responses. (This is not spam. You are merely asking a question.)

You can beat out competition by offering something extra, for example: offer SEO keyword research and keyword density of 1-2%. Offer to submit the articles to directories and/or social networks. I don't do the latter, but would if I had to.

You need to have a website, a resume' (so they know a little something about you) and keep everything as professional as possible.

Never, ever write for $5.00 and article. $10.00 is not enough to charge. Go for it!
Happy writing---
