Black hat SEO, according to my knowledge, is not an official way of SEO. Just imagine that one day Google, Youtube, Facebook,...or any other traffic sources update their algorithms to a pain-in-the-ass levels, then there is no way (or hard way) for blackhatters to do SEO. The algorithm is only a typical example, there should be more than one reason making black hat SEO die....sooner or later. Just wonder how long does it take to make this story come true...

I just say, maybe what you are saying is true, but while it works just make the most out of it, and dont worry about that day, maybe never happens, it reminds me of 21 december. 2012 and the end of the world.

The only way to kill Black Hat SEO is to embrace it.

I.e. black hat will die only when Google will realize that they cant actually fight it, and let the free market stabilize itself.

Not this shit again.

No.

There is a day, however, that black hat changes - indeed, that day comes around quite often.

If it does die out, experienced marketers will find a way to exploit it again but this time, they'll be able to achieve 5 or 6 figure days due to the fact that most people think it's "dead".

Of course, with white hat, you have confidence, stability and it is an official way of doing from which you feel pride..

It's definitely hard to say. Even if G somehow kill everything blackhat, I bet there will be smarter marketers who will find new loopholes, and exploit the system. Basically this is what BHetters are doing all the time

Yes . . . The day will come. It's called "The Black Hat Apocalypse". It is right
there in The Black Hat Book of Revelations . . . Did you miss it?

"The four horsemen of Google will plunder the internet, headed by the evil Matt Cutts,
and what was once Blackhat will become Whitehat, and there will be a great gnashing
of teeth and countless pissed-off marketers."

Amen - "Wiz :)

There's always a black hat to every white hat, so no, not unless white hat dies too which will only probably go if the Internet as we know it dies.

OP, there will ALWAYS be loopholes.

There will be no update that can force people to play by the rules.

Even Google knows this.

The only way Google could stop it is for a totally new algo that just measures quality and doesn't take links into equation at all.
The alternative is they only list sites that are willing to pay to be listed and the day that happens is the day Google loses it's search engine crown.

The more Google tinkers with the algo, the more they are saying BH works.

For every lock, there is a key. As for example, talking about youtube comments, you could always post your comment on youtube manually be it a spam, or a legitimate one. If there is a way to do that, some people will always exploit it. As for google, some sites will ultimately rank(given, if they do not abandon the site result). Now if you have to rank C over Z, you will need some algo to do that. It will be exploited ! SPAM can't be dead.. It can ( and has ) become hard, but some people will always manage to do it :D

If google decides to stop doing search because they get bored of it, MAYBE. Otherwise, no.

well, for starters everytime they attempt to "fix" their algorithm by implementing "anti-spam" tactics to attempt and beat out "blackhat" seo it normally leads to it being harder for normal people following all the rules to rank websites. Blackhat can't die because it changes frequently. We evolve w/ the release of new algorithm updates and stop doing old practices only to replace them with new ones. The best part is, half of these wannabe SEO's are running around doing the old methods still so true blackhatters can thrive in this environment because in reality most competition isn't even noteworthy. Just my 2cents...

There will always be a weak point in a dynamic system. If todays black hat SEO becomes tomorrows white hat SEO then people will find other ways to break the system. It's a cycle.

to sum it all up

as long as
-machines (algos) decides which sites rank
-ppl at X country work for $X a month, at other $XX a month and others $XXX/XXXX a month

there will be blackhat and no matter in what way

Blackhat SEO is just an expert level of SEO. Many people who started out doing SEO started with Whitehat SEO
and then was smacked on the back of the head and found out how they can rank websites faster and better.
