is there keywords that are copright?

So I am trying to rank a keyword but it is actually a companys name it is the easiest keyword to rank for but it just won't show that I am using it in web master tools. It is a very common terms in the niche I am in(its a long tail keyword) Basically I am wondering is there more to this keyword then I know about like is it a copyrighted keyword if thats even something that can happen. I don't know if im explaining the right way. But please someone let me know if there may be another reason why I am not ranking at all for this keyword.

You can possibly get in legal trouble. It comes under (keywords-related) copyright / trademark infringement... but it's a big question on whether the TM/Copyright owner can win the case or not. Depends on how big the owner is and how far he wants to go to get you for the "crime".

It depends how you use it I guess. If you use it as your brand identity then it could be copyright. If you use it in your content and rank because of it, I don't think it'd be against copyright then because you're just using it naturally.
