Is there anything Illegal about Stealing a Theme ???

yes you can use any theme if some one claim just change it. Simple

Stealing in general is illegal. It would be wise to just look at themes for ideas. Add your own creativity.

When you have to steal something then it obviously isn't legal. Use a free theme or pony up the cash for a premium.

I recommend WP Radiance by Solopress - it's reasonably priced and very powerful. Easy to use too.

Yes, you are correct. but you can try Nulled themes for testing. if you like the design then go and purchase original.

don't get exploited by using nulled themes. they may hack your server as well your admin.

Oh man let me clear it out for all ( all though this thread is more than a year old). OP used a theme from Elegant Themes. All their themes come with GPL V2 license (except for the logos and the design psds). You can freely use or modify them if you have the theme with you. No need to place a footer link, BUT, you cannot say it's made by you, or you can't remove any copyright notices from the scripts.

Now having said all these, don't you think they deserve some money in return to the hard work Nick and his team members put up constantly ( and I am one of the mods there)? Those themes are dirt cheap.

Stealing themes is illegal but that doesn't stop people from doing it anyway. It's up to you.

Well heres some advice from a designer & developer of wordpress themes. You can easily be found because each theme as call backs. With those call backs I can determine if youre using a theme that you purchased from me or a theme that was pirated.

Personally though bro, I never care if people use my themes because 1. Thats free promotion 2. Because most people typically dont make money with their sites lol. Now if I see you are making tons of cash & have yet to purchase the theme I will definitely strip you of the theme you stole from me and send you a nice email with a purchase link ^_^

Moral of the story is if you can afford to purchase the theme then do so. If you cant then as soon as you can purchase it.

Stealing is always illegal..why aren't you downloading or purchasing theme...

Seriously, if you are gonna use nulled, cracked stuff - search BHW for DMCA ignorant webhosting and also buy domain privacy RIGHT after you buy the domain for your project. Even if you don't protect yourself there is a veeeery litle chance that someone will catch you.
Also: its very easy to find out that someone is using WP and which theme exactly. Just inspect the element, find the css/template files and within the first lines there is info about the theme.

BTW I always use nulled/cracked stuff, I don't care of ethics, the only things that I bought were: scrapebox and ubot, I guess they have invested much in security. Everything else (big arsenal of bh weapons on my hdd) is easly found in internet. I also have access (without even registering) to the shitty BBHF "vip section" "exec section" and I have to tell you they are just rehashing bhw methods or groupbuying.

Simple answer: if it's not PLR (Private Label Rights) material to which you have purchased the legal rights to use commercially, then it's obviously copyright infringement of a 3rd party's work.
