The people asking if it's dead are the type to try seo for a month then be like seo is dead!!!!
Then they'd try freelancing, and don't get a client within 1 min of making their site... freelancing is dead!!!!!
Rinse and repeat for all ventures they attempt.
It's either severe dunning kruger or shiny object syndrome. Maybe both.
