SMM panels are really good especially if it provides just what you're looking for. As the previous comment points out, quite a bit of the vocal detractors get cheap or limited functionality SMM Panels and end up whining about it. Nevertheless, it's good to check what certain panels are good for and what they're capable of before fully committing to them. I personally think they're alright, for most parts.
