Don't know if this is the right forum, but couldn't find an email marketing or list building forum here on BHW.

Anyway, I have a list of emails that have no names. I would like to personalize the emails I send to them and I am wondering if there is any tool for finding out the names of email address owners.

Some kind of tool that lets me just load up the emails and their first names or full names appear.

Anyone?

There is no such tool as i know but its really interesting topic. There are few possibilities we can do via python but never tested.
1) Identifies name in the email address
2) Gmail API which takes names from profiles

Good luck.

Depends how many you have, but hire cheap VA to manually search.

Thanks guys, but are they free or paid

Most are paid. The ones I recommended at least. Some offer some free trials but you’ll need to pay at some point.

Yea but people often dont left real names. I have 10 gmail account for personal day to day use and none of them is real name.
Open rate without name in email is ~7%
With name ( personalized ) ~17%
There is million more other things to sending emails but okay.
At least you can try some option
The 7% and 17% are meant if everything else is in place and not some scammy mail -> " Do you want 1000$ for free "

Why not just use random first name and random last name, many emailers allow spintax
Random names will help not get into spam

Bad idea. People that receive email with wrong email will report you as spam. A lot of people.
You dont want spam report from people. Gmail doesnt like that. Especially in short time couple of people report your account - uff.
This is all factual from experience.

Checkout PeopleDataLabs. Think you get like 2000 free matches to start off then its $.25/match. I signed up for trial, but haven't gotten around to actually using it yet so can't say how good it really is
