Hello, Guys!

I'm a sports jornalist and I've started a sports forum, and the biggest problem now is how to create traffic on it. On my articles in the website I work to I get about 80 comments/articles, and on my forum i get none. Is there any software that I can use to copy the comments to copy those comments to my forum and actually look like real people posting? Also, I'd like to know if there's a way to copy threads and posts from other sports forums to mine, so people will actually believe there's something going on there and not just 20-30 threads started by me with no answers!

Thanks in advance!

I don't know of any such tool. You'll have to outsource your request to a programmer to have a custom made bot. It wouldn't be too difficult. Alternatively you could create fictitious users on your forum in which they're intertwined and conversing with one another. This would give the impression that there are users...

oh, what a pity! I was positive those tools exist :(

Thanks!

There used to be some forum population software about one was made by previous members
of BHW.
You could always use a service like.
Code:
http://www.wiredflame.com/

you should be able to script one in linux using wget and vgrep. Then output to your webserver....

Just tried the wiredframe....they are not taking orders so may be down...Come back to the thread if you find anything ...I would like something that populates livefyre for one of my sites

Try out postloop. They are doing pretty good and with low cost too. You can see also go by my sig.

I also agree with neo240. I have used postloop in the past and they work exceddingly well. Just make sure to keep your points above 100 and there will be new members each day.

If you have a Vbulletin forum, there is a plugin which allow to create a bridge with your forum.

I forgot the name but type like "wordpress vbulletin bridge".

It has a few requirements that i didn't meet so i didn't use it, i couldn't tell if it is a good or bad plugin. From what i recall, i believe you need to have wp and vb in the same folder or on the same domain and no subdomain.

Hope it helps

Thanks for all the feedback! I'm suffering from instability in my forum, so I will try to fix it before I take the next step. But I'll take a look at your help.

Mission Ashwamedh - when I feel the forum is ok, I'll drop you a message.

[FONT=&quot]I would say just do copy paste. They are only 80 comments. How long is it going to take for you copy? Or just hire someone if you are too busy to do it yourself.
