I don't know what bugs have gotten into your system but you should be happy with such figures, especially the traffic numbers.
Although I don't know about the niche and competition and the other project specifics, why do you think it's odd?
It's just flush of interrupted traffic that god has send your way. I don't think it is anything to complain about.

I have huge spikes of "unassigned" traffic or "referral" traffic under "Traffic Acquisition". I tried to fix the issue but nothing works.
