Does anyone use the quotes site quotes ie, "mysite.com" to tell how many backlinks are indexed in google?

Majestic will often have no backlinks recorded, but google will, so could these google results be hidden from majestic and ahrefs, ie possible hiddedn PBN links etc?

Do you not think its an indication of just how many links google has indexed against the site?

After the links have been indexed for a long time... its worth having a "look" for a rough estimation.

You are likely to get very few results if at all any.

No. It'll only return mentions, links in PDF documents, and so on, not actual links. Google turned off the link check function long ago and there's no way around it.
