Is there any difference between traffic and leads?

Hi, I don't know in which section I should post my question so I do it here. Can you tell me if there is a difference between traffic and leads? Is that not the same?

Leads is traffic that converts.

A lead I guess is a qualified unit of traffic and is much more likely to convert into a full sale.

Thank you for your answers. So a lead is not normal traffic it is e.g. a phone number or email address, in other words a direct contact to a potential client?

we can use future pewep as an example:

"traffic" is all the cars that drive by homeless pewep and acknowledge him begging for cash

"leads" are all the cars that roll down their windows after seeing him

"conversion/sale" would be all the cars who actually give him money

Traffic = total no. of visitors who visit your optin page
leads= people who give their email or phone no.

lead = people that are actually interested in what you are selling.

traffic = the guys that only burn bandwith for nothing

I think there are different definitions for the word lead.

However, if I say "lead" I talk about a contact with a potential costumer.
So 100 targeted visitors are NOT 100 leads. They only become leads if they leave their email or whatever.
