From what I've seen it likes mentions. LLMs work on words relations and proximities to other words. Get your brands mentioned in the content that they crawl / train on.
I'm no GPTEO but from my short testing and playing around I can see that things that are talked about a lot are mentioned first. It kinda makes sense.
In the past SEs relied almost entirely on backlinks, quantity and anchor texts. As time went on, they improved, as will GPT, but for the time being it will go off mentions the most and then possibly the authority of the sites making the mentions.
I guess we'll see in the long run but it seems fairly rudimentary at the minute. Getting it to notice your new mentions is going to be the issue, I think.

Most if not all of searches performed by ChatGPT's search functionality are powered by Bing, so break out your Bing Webmaster Tools login and make sure all your stuff is indexed at the very least.
