Is there a whitehatworld?

What is a good site for learning the way to do things by whitehat standards? I love the format around here and learn alot but also feel like since I only lurk on BHW im missing out on what alot of you actually do in a basic sense.

This forum covers white hat, as others have mentioned; https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/white-hat-seo.30/

It boils down to what your defining 'white hat' as.

No such thing as whitehat in the world of SEO. Unless of course, you consider just publishing posts and waiting for Google to pick them up and rank keywords whitehat SEO ;)

Perhaps what you want is creating a legitimate site with unique content, attracting traffic legitimately, earning money through adsense without any hacks, spams or bordering on ethics? I have also started reading up on Making Money sub forum for a week now, and still as confused.. Lol

Lol Sorry guys, I got caught up with real life and haven't been on BHW for a bit.

I guess half of my questions are answered. I will have to do more research into the Whitehat part of the forum, I've seen it before but for some reason never really dove into it. I guess I was just trying to understand marketing philosphy a bit more. To me, never having been a salesman in my life, the concept of warming someone up and selling something to them is pretty alien. For one, I tend to find myself only looking for products I actually feel I can be truthful about which is severely cutting down my opportunity. I also find that I don't really understand my role as a marketer. Sometimes it seems like I'm giving them information, other times it seems like I'm trying to con someone haha.

I would love some info on what you guys found helpful when learning about this sort of thing. Maybe some cool videos or books? I just want to learn more about the whole process. I feel like I understand a ok portion of it, but it definitely doesn't feel natural to me. Out of everything I've tried, I'd say this is holding me back most.

I semi-understand SEO, I get the end goal and plugging keywords. I semi-get user experience, I try to put myself into the users shoes and see if I'd like it or not. I understand that traffic targeting is key but I am still quite confused on how someone actually goes about doing that without spamming social media or buying traffic (beyond SEO).

I also don't get what makes an advertisement good. What makes something appealing to someone? I feel like this is an art form. The art form of cultivating "intrigue and emotion" within the user.

and most important... What if the thing im marketing is BORING af and I can't really get passionate about it?

The last youtube I narrated sucked so bad, I was droning, it wasn't natural. I wasn't passionate about the product at all. I honestly tried my best but it was clear to me it needs alot of work.

Ps - thanks for the replies. It was fun reading them all.

OP weren't you into adult stuff before?

How did that fare out for you?

Yes, I semi-twisted a unknown method related to the porn reupload system. Let's just say I'm not posting any videos but I currently have around 700-1k daily traffic. That being said, It's really shitty traffic haha. This is my first project and I was mostly looking for something to use my programming skills on, not so much my marketing/porn watching skills on. It's like 30% tier 1 traffic, 35% tier 2 traffic (mostly South Korea), and 35% tier 1 traffic (Russia). I'm hoping to improve these numbers in the future but it's also kind of a weird system where I don't get to find out where the traffic originates from until it's in my possession. I've tried my best to hone this but it's actually really quite random i must say lol.

I've tried running dating ads and cam revshare ads. The dating ads converted decently but I also felt like my traffic would be banned fairly quickly. I've always been told go with the revshare so I've been trying that. I was using Stripcash for 3 months but only made $2, I started to think I should try Chaturbate instead and I've already made more but it's still insignificant for the 2 months ive been there. I'm hoping as I grow my traffic I will get more tier 1 traffic. I have a second twist to apply and have been coding it for weeks.

Any ideas on how to market to some South Koreans/Russians? :D Lol I've looked for Russian/SK adult affiliate programs but unsurprisingly they are kind of hard to find. (its easier to find programs that accept SK/RU traffic, it's harder to find programs that are actually in the native language and geared to that specific area of the world.)

Oh well. It's all a learning experience, right?

I do recall some viral site linked to by this forum on a random thread called GreenHatWorld or something like that?

Wasn't affiliated with BHW but was a site which gave free downloads for IM tools. Not sure if it's still up
