even in an evergreen niches, finding active groups with 30 k + members is very time consuming .
you have to sift through countless dead pages and sparsely populated groups before finding the big ones .

is there an automatic or manual way to locate large groups within a niche ?

There are bots that can do this.
Send me the keyword and I'll send you the list of groups sorted by number of members.

i think you do need to use a bot as they don't provide native support for that, you can set a bot to extract as many groups as it can for a given keywod, then you sort those by number of members and if you really want to go in deeper you can manually check each to see how active each group is.

You can use massplanner, they have a tool called "joiner", you can scrape groups seting the keywords and the minimum number of members that you want ;).
