Chimpmail useful if you're sending below 2k (free), I think its 10$ if you want more than that

you should realize that these things change so fast 2014 is like the last century that's why the search bar is useless

I believe scientists have been trying for hundreds of years to create this tool you speak of with little luck I personally use the carrier pigeon approach. The bounce rate is insanely low and the open rate is near 100% unless of course the pigeon dies on the way.

MailChimp is the best one for send bulk emails. By using you can send up to 12,000 emails or mail to a list of up to 2,000 subscribers. You’ll have access to MailChimp’s email template builder and an array of tracking and signup tools.

Mailchimp will take your list and then if you get more than X% bounce rate they'll cancel your account and keep your list.

Client-side software is safer.

yeah Things might change fast mate, but i dont think the search bar is a waste thing. At least you can know what are the practices we had earlier, and which of them are not practical to be used today.

You should use SMTP Pro service, if you use your server, your server IP will be blacklist soon.
All of your email sending from that server will be rejected by spam filter, if it by pass spam filter, it'll go to Spam folder
