I think one of my sites is suffering from over-optimized anchor text. Is there a safe, quick and easy way to sprinkle this page with about 30-50 decent links? This isn't a churn and burn site. Any recommendations?

30-50 links are decent. Try to make it look natural possible.

Go with wiki links they are nofollow But they will dilute over-optimized anchor text and will not harm your website.

Sorry to burst your bubble but nofollow links don't pass anchor text.

OP, if you get Penguine'd you'll have to wait for the next update before the penalty will get removed. Since it's a C&B, I'd probably start a new site right away.

It's NOT a C&B, it's not a money site either (yet) but I've got 50K and 5K hours invested in it , so I need to be careful. Anyone else have any suggestions?

My first thought would be directory listings. Legitimate businesses embark on directory campaigns all the time to spread the word and possibly drum up some new business. This means it's nice and natural, and most listings are url or branded so no problem re anchor text.

You could also order some profile links, these aren't going to hurt you unless you order thousands. Even blog comments would be ok as long as they hand posted on relevant sites (don't go anywhere near software commenting).

No follow, is part of the PR algorithm, hee haw to do with not passing anchor text. It will in fact dilute anchor text and provide a natural appearance.

Sorry, I misread. Since you invested so much time and hours in this site you can either disavow the exact anchor links or you can dilute them by posting more brand/naked URL links.

One thing though. If you actually have a Penguin penalty right now, you have to wait until the next Penguin update/reset to get the penalty removed.

Sorry, but your comment is straight nonsense.

Oh jeebus another one.

No follow does not mean the serp crawler will not pass through and index whatever it finds, this is misinformation from years of circular reporting on the web.

Back when PR was the be all and end all, the PR crawler would not pass PR score through a no follow link. But this is a historical term as PR is not the be all and end all, in fact it bears no relation to serp ranking what so ever. The seo guru's however failed to update their theories, when google changed metric importance.

Now if you read on here further you will find the truth on no follow.

Wikipedia, BBC, most news sites, all have no follow attributes, how do you explain their power

But for example I ranked a site with pure no follow as an experiment.

So stop being an opinionated smart ass, you just look silly and like a WF guru.

There is NO better way to dilute your anchor texts than a good press release at a good service like PR web or accesswire. My opinion, but works every time.

Sure you did that experiment. LMAO, it's so obvious you're just talking out of your ass. You're 37 years old and your avater is a 15 y/o kids meme. Man, this place is infiltrated by retarded imbeciles like you.

The fact that bought/sponsored links should have the nofollow attribute should say enough re: them not passing link juice or anchor text. For christ sake, why the heck do you think people use primary and secondary link structures in GSA SER?!

Even idiots like Rand Fishkin did tests and concluded nofollow links don't do anything: http://www.quora.com/Does-Google-still-count-the-anchor-text-of-nofollow-links

P.S. unlike your next lies most news sites do actually use ******** links and I've yet to see a single shred of evidence that Wikipedia links pass any signals whatsoever. And yes, I did the tests myself as well.

P.P.S.

I'm actually willing to bet $1000 that you're lying about ranking a site with nofollow links. I know you're lying so you probably won't take up the bet, but feel free to prove me wrong.

Good for you, if it's infiltrated with retarded imbeciles what are you doing here.

Tbh your just a gobshite, but on your say so I should change my avatar to something more worthy of tinterweb bigiaming.

Ps. You state I am a liar and yet you once again quote circular reporting without delving further into your link. Try reading properly Idiot.

Pps, yet to find your so called news sites with do follow (except low authority crap) is this more circular reporting.

Ppps, you state you have yet to see the benefit of Wikipedia, almost word for word quoting the man you call an idiot.

Pppps, I'm not getting involved in a tinterweb dick measuring contest with a shouty wee child like yourself. Grow up play the ball not the man.
