Lets say I use ebay.com as my target/keyword in a campaign, and I do a direct link to the aff URL.

Will there be a referer?

I was thinking that there wouldnt be, as its a popup, and thats a new browser window, so it should be blank no?

Or am I way off here?

You're right. There should be no referer from the original site which produced the popup but a referer from the cpv network could be possible. This could be replaced by a referer of your tracking software or (if you're using meta refresh) could be blanked.

I use ppv and if I don't do something to blank it or fake the referrer, then the referrer is the one of the site that my ad is shown on. (though I use interstitial ads and not pop ups/unders)

yes the refer will most likely be blanked when sending traffic via ppv. You must be careful of user-agents showing up to the networks too, they can be a dead give away that you are sending contextual traffic to that offer.
