Is There a Plugin That Will Spoof The Date on Wordpress Posts?

Basically, I noticed several competitors are using a strategy where Google shows their posts as being constantly updated/recently posted, and when I check out the websites the posts are altered to always display the current date. How are they doing this?

I don't think so, some of these sites have 50+ posts each with the date all set to "today".

they just have a script that does it , it's $5 fiverr job type of thing

I believe I read something like this on a thread a while back. Some kind of script that fools the google bot that the post has been updated. And they keep redoing it every six to 8 hours or something. Dont know if this is the same script. But that one was for some coupon site.

yes that was some indian coupon site. guess what, that thread was on discussion and then some mod delete whole thread. what can be reason? is this thing really working.
