Hello,

The company I work for asked me if I think there is a market for promoting youtube videos in the following way;

Upload the raw video file to an ad network, who promote your video as preroll or overlay video ads.
Out thought was that the "promoter" gave us a video, we upload it to our server and show it as either a preroll ad or an video overlay, when a user clicks on the ad (your video) he can be directed to your youtube channel or to a specific video of your choice.

The amount of clicks you will receive will largely depend on your video ad.

So I am just checking to see if there is a market for this, depending on feedback, we will give out some free advertising to 10 members of this forum.

PS: We CAN'T embed videos from youtube and use that as the ad, it seems that youtube is blocking this option.

I doubt it would be cost effective. Storage and streaming might be cheap these days but nobody does Video better than YT.
The Ad wouldn't increase views on the channel and if the Video was quality then it should drive traffic from social media.

There's always a market for video advertising. That's literally how Google makes the majority of their money.

Cost effective? We store and serve the videos.

Yes, video advertising is good, we already do it with premium brands but we want to try and see if we can enter a new market
