So how do we know what criteria Google evaluates to write SEO-standard articles? It seems that free experience sharing sessions do not really fully reflect Google's evaluation criteria.

i dont know why this response sounds like gtp to me, and yea..no google update so far this month , both on news and forums
 
There should have been an update some time ago, but it was more of a risk control type update, because I found that my recently created gmail account was more likely to be blocked, and I couldn't appeal. However, I have used the safest environment I can make, and this problem did not occur before. It has become particularly noticeable in recent times.
 
There has been no confirmed core update in August 2025 yet. The last major update was the June 2025 core update, which was completed in mid-July. What we are seeing now is only residual volatility and some changes to Google Discover. Still, it's a good idea to keep an eye on your rankings.
 
Started a small website few days back. I work for few local clients, not seen much fluctuations.
 
Yes, there was a core update in june - july 2025, volatility has continued into august with tweaks and a discover feed update. If you saw ranking shifts, that's likely why.
 
maybe not an update but something seemed to change because quite a few here are saying they noticed some of their rankings dropping quite a bit

Might be an older update getting stable now in some form.
 
No there is no core updated. Yes, but monthly regularly updates come.

Yes, Google did roll out a core update in August 2025. It’s mainly aimed at rewarding more original, user-focused content and tightening down on low-quality or overly spammy sites. If you’ve seen ranking changes lately, that’s likely the reason.

June core update completed in July. There are no major updates now but Google keeps releasing minor updates frequently.

No, they don't. There are too many updates to inform webmasters.

Google makes thousands of updates to its algorithms annually, with many of these being minor, daily adjustments. Unlike core updates that can affect a significant portion of search results, minor updates typically impact a much smaller percentage.

Google only announces core updates. Some SEOs and agencies may notice minor updates but they mostly go unnoticed.
