ive read a lot of speculation and supposition about recovering from panda and penguin but has anyone actually dont it and documented the steps and measurable effect of each step for validation?

my site got hit hard - its just a vanity project but i was almost at 400 hits per day, now at 50

thanks

Mine got hit hard when I blasted my money site w/ scrapebox auto-approve lists.

I am just now starting to see a slight increase of 3-4 searches per day. Before that it was like 3-4 / week.

It has been about 3 months since I got penalized. The only thing I've been doing is using UD, SB, and GSA conservatively (< 100 submissions/day).

ah ok.

i was thinking along the lines of:

PANDA -

removing pages from my site that get no hits i.e. tag pages, category sub pages (page 2, 3,4 etc)

condensing my page titles to focus on one keyword that has no competition on the site

varying my anchor text and increasing internal linking from links within content (like wikipedia)

PENGUIN -

Checking GWMT and requesting link removal from domains that are linking to my site a lot (100+) or lots of unique links to the home page

any of this sound good?
