Is there a commenting limit for Threads?

I'm curious about how many comments I can do on Threads with one fully warmed up profile (aged more than a week with more than 100 followers, having made both posts and comments) per day. According to chatgpt a profile can make 1000 comments per 24 hours. Has anybody tested this?

I wouldn’t trust the 1000 comments number ,it sounds like theory, not something anyone actually pulled off safely. Even with a warmed-up profile, Threads has rate limits that kick in pretty fast once it detects repetitive behavior. Most of the guys running scaled ops stay way below that just to avoid soft bans. If you’re trying to test limits, do it slowly and mix in other activity so it doesn’t look like a script hammering comments all day.

I haven’t seen anyone push a full 1,000 comments without tripping spam flags, even on an account that’s fully warmed up. In my own tests I capped at around 250–300 comments spread evenly over the day (so roughly one every 5 – 6 minutes) and never saw any “action blocked” errors. If you go much higher, the system starts throttling you pretty aggressively.
Your safest bet is to ramp slowly—start at 100/day for a few days, watch for any “slow down” notices, then inch up in +50 increments. And absolutely randomize your timing (no perfect intervals), mix in genuine likes and follows, and keep your comment content varied so it doesn’t read like a bot. That approach should let you find your personal ceiling without getting locked out.
