Try prestashop.com. Ive used them for one of my stores in the past and found it easy to use.

Not wordpress, but easy to use and free. Check out OScommerce.

You can use Wordpress for eCommerce, theres a ton of free templates and stuff in the downloads section. I have probably 20 sites running from those templates alone.

You can use wordpress. Use the shopperpress theme. Search shopperpress in the downloads section.

Shopperpress is extremely easy to use and cheap. It's an ecommerce wordpress theme that's already integrated with Authorize.net, Paypal etc..

Have you tried ShopperPress? it turns your WP into an ecommerce platform. It's also the easiest solution that I know of. It's not that cheap though, but it's 'pay once, use wherever' approach. I plan to use it for a future project instead of a full fledged OSCommerce install.

*edit* I opened this thread in a new tab, but checked it later and then replied. I see others before me recommended the same. :)

I like magento, what about it was difficult for you?
I do admit I purchased the packt publishing book and I also used to go to their IRC channel.
The best shopping cart software I have seen is interspire, It is not free though.
