Tbh it doesn't look like it was "tanked", but yeah, there are quite a few ways to revive domains: transferring to a new registrar, changing NS records etc. However, in this particular case you might wanna try ramping up activity on your domain first.

that includes the type of links it got, the content, the niche, keywords, pages indexing, his past and current average position, are all of the pages tanked, etc...

in an example, a page could rank in the 9-10th positions and get some traffic for months, then lose it just going down to the 14-15th positions,
it's not the case for a website that was ranking in the 1st spots and now into the 7th page for most of its keywords,

you either have to examine all of these factors separately and take your time to see exactly how this drop is going on and what can influence it,
or simply hire someone professional (and make sure he is) to do the work,

overall, the problem could be related to the content quality, its type or the links/anchors in most cases,
make sure to "fix" these and add some quality links and see how it goes
