Are the themes you can get from Theme Killer . com the real deal or are they viruses? Have any added junk?

    Anyone ever DL from there?

    Never heard of them.

I would look over at the Downloads section in BHW, I know there's a thread with a ton of premium themes that are scanned for viruses.

Just check the download section here, much safer.

From my experience they add link to their website in the styles.css and add their own screenshot, you can remove that. Havent found anything else.

I signed up here to get to know something about them. Plus I'm right now testing some plugins from them in some kind of "sandbox". Until now i didn't found anything acting like maleware or a script that might be inserting links. I will keep you updated.

Use TAC plugin. It scans the theme for any codes that try to link out to their site or run any malicious code.

They got to get something in return to give you free theme, so better be careful.

@globalseopoint I think your right, this is what always should make one suspicious. I realized they use this annoying add break/page in order you get acces to your download.. maybe this is where they get their coins form?!

btw does anyone has idea how effective and monetizing these "view/ignore this ad for 10 seconds and you will continue to the download" pages are?
