I was thinking about this and maybe I am just being paranoid, but what are the odds of google monitoring for certain key phrases in their services?

For example I am keeping track of my PBN info in a google sheet called "Pbn". Well there's all my domains nicely displayed there for them if they wanted to look and destroy my network.

It's weirding me out to use their stuff but it's so handy and easy to use :(

    Am I just being paranoid?

I highly doubt it but if your PBN is of considerable value using excel will calm your nerves.

Being a little paranoid sometimes doesn't hurt, but that's totally paranoid ;) Google isn't the NSA.

From a business point of view: PBNs simply aren't manipulating the SERPs significantly enough to make the effort to monitor Google docs or mail and risk a major reputation clusterfuck worth it.

I dont think that would matter though it helps to be paranoid. Always take measures in the direction of, WHAT IF?

When you get a deeper understanding on privacy it's normal to be paranoid. That's the reason why i have specific keywords i never use on Internet (mail, social networks, etc) like hack, exploit, etc.

Think of mass surveillance as a tier: you aren't identified as a hacker by disclosing 1 exploit but 1000 will get you there. I believe the same goes for you. Just a fews? Yeah, you're one amount millions. Even if you aren't an target content is collected, you may not get caught by an algorithm but you may be noticed if you're traced by several others reasons as a mass.

And someone reading reports about a guy who's software developer, earn money and has PBN will definitely raise a warning to do a deeper research on you.

I am a long time in the business and I know that if you are messing around with ADwords and ADsense and you do blackhet stuff and google is on to you, they will close all your gmails and everything related to you.
I have never heard of someone who do blackhat SEO and got nuked because of that

Dinesh, messing with Adwords or Adsense means plain and simple fraud most of the time. That's not just violating their terms, like blackhat SEO, so hardly comparable when it comes to the countermeasures by Google.
