Did a google search for an item, and over half my first page search result was this.

    :y:

I have noticed these more and more here and there, but now i see this isn't just a rare occurrence. I am beginning to think new drastic strategies will need to be in place for IM.

Can someone shed some light on this??

Yeah, since they put that new digital copyright protection in place, there have been a lot of people suffering from that fate. It just means that you have to use the material within the guidelines of content allowances or rewrite the copy as an original take of the same or ' like ' concept.

Using other people's stuff on my sites isn't something I practice nor suggest.

It was bound to happen sooner or later...too many people running around stealing stuff.

Yes, google should be the one place where someone can access information freely and now things are getting flagged down. Seems like everything is getting tougher nowadays

Yeah, it all gets tougher and tougher, just think of ACTA. I'm glad it was rejected by the European Court of Justice. Otherwise, the "freedom" of the Internet would have been severely circumvented.

Tough time coming for all those who just copy others without any fear. Beware of tougher moments ahead.

Just keep you with the original content, never try duplicate you may just get penalty if you do this, unless it is quite good.

I dont think this has to do with just duplicate content. And even if it is, i dont like the idea of Google letting results being filtered/flagged. I rather have a search engine not filtering out what I should or should not be able to access
