Is the referrer only domain or full URL?

    For example does a CPA network see facebook.com or facebook.com/blahblahblahblahusernametc?

    They see everything, the excat url where the visitor come from. You can use some services like anonym.to to hide the refer :)

    my understanding is you should never send traffic directly from fb or any other source of your traffic directly to your affiliate link as it is a quick way to get banned from that cpa network.

    i've gathered that routing the traffic to the offer via a double meta refresh works well to remove the referrer and masking (modifying) the referrer works even better. there is a wordpress plugin provided in the cpa forum stickies and you can even script it yourself with a little bhw and online research
