Is the recent Google search bug affecting you?

Google announced the bug on the 15th of Aug, 22:48 PDT.

That's 08:48 AM my local time.

It is the moment when my traffic started drooping hard, with a huge disparity vs the same previous period.

Since then it is going going down.



I am trying to connect the dots, so if you've been affected, look at your analytics and see if the drop started at the same time that Google announced the bug.

They just posted an update 1 hour ago, extending the time to fix the issue by another 48 hours (see my first picture).

Taking this long likely means it’s something serious.
