  • FTX
  • Rug pulls
  • Doing something stupid and losing access to your wallet
  • Crypto games
  • Crypto trading / futures or margin or what they call it.
  • Going greedy on a coin and it goes to shit, you won't go to 0 but you would lose +50% on your funds, another unlucky coin and you will be in the same.
There could be other stuff I don't know about.

If someone is doing it professionaly, that's a different story but most people fuck up and burn all their money, and that's how the rest make money.

Im a holder and i only check prices once per day.

If you are a trader than u must be very careful lol

Crypto works on one simple principle same as stocks:

1 Person Wins money
1 Person Losses money

Usually 70% of people are in minus and 30% are in profit, you just need to be disciplined, do proper research and stay in top 30%, not easy and not hard, but if you know what you're doing you are going to make it.
 
I have crypto and I barely care about the price. When everyone around is starting talking about it I will sell.

Yes, precisely, so it brings 0 value to society.

I'm not talking about BTC here or the established coins that are more considered as real money now.

But I understand the need for people to try and make money out of it. I tried it as well in the past and I lost money so I'm like noooooo after that.

Yes, stocks, food, workforce and entire society brings 0 value to itself since in everyday life basis someone wins and losses money, of course porn, movies, tv shows, and any other type of entertainment included.
