is Submited to Directory still OK?

    i just wondering, is submitting site to directory still make a good backlink?

    because nowadays directory doesnt look that popular any more

    Personally I wouldn't recommend it, simply because directory listing offer so little value in terms of link building, the time and effort isn't worth it, even automated tools I'd leave alone. However feel free to submit to the big authority directories i.e. Yahoo's directory.

    I say the more links the better.

    Just make sure you're submitting different urls and anchor links.

    And of course, it's always nice to focus on the authority directories as Bacanze stated.

    And do it kinda slow. Don't submit to 10,000 directories in 12 hours. Spread it out a bit.

    Search for directory submission in the "Services For Sale" section.
