is stumbleupon got for backlinks?

Are Stumbleupon likes good as backlinks? Stumbleupon creates weird urls out of your links.
But maybe it counts as a social media signal?

The aim, should be to get traffic from Stumbleupon, more likes should mean more traffic.

I heard people talking about getting traffic from stumbleupon, but the only thing I ever got from them was bot traffic lol. Weird network

Well I created a bot with zennoposter. In the last week I created 600 accounts and all post links to my webpages randomly, like each other's post etc. But so far I can neither see traffic nor that google counts anything as backlink.

That will get you banned really fast.
If you had a network you could easily realize that something is not good between those 600 accounts with a simple routine algorithm.
You should focus on estimulate manually a good account, You will find really great content if you know how to navigate. Plus your account will gain reputation and all the links to your money site will receive lots of traffic.

Its not about quantity, its about quality.
