Is staging with GitHub using Local as bad as it seems?

There seems to be few good ways to push from a local development to your server using LocalWP outside of exporting a back-up and bringing it across

From what I've put myself through time and time again, there's always a CSS issue, a size issue, an issue with images or something stupid when using something like All in One Migration,

but LocalWP x GitHub is just known to not be properly developed yet

At this stage I'm exporting everything, flinging it all to Xampp and just taking the harder but easier to control route

Let me know if I'm being the same old silly goose please handsome fellas and females, I'm terrified of live developing

I know right, Antigravity pulling Claude and Gemini in builds everything I build, lighter, in about two hours in react and typescript that I can push to nearly anything and is more performant 90% of the time

My tip is to stop using WP, and start doing real sites. You will thank yourself. Never heard of using any more than GitHub to make a push or pull. And never heard about having problems “pushing local”. For the CSS problems, give you a days to learn Tailwind and do reliable ui. You Could also use tools such as shadcn

If you have shell access i would use git to clone/pull updates from the local. Im not familiar with the WP specific alternatives. Few panels offers git integration but it doesn't always straight forward.
I suggest the same as others, WP is shit. But i know it's hard to let go especially when you are not too familiar with other alternatives or can dev yourself.

Honestly, yeah, staging with GitHub and LocalWP isn’t as smooth as it should be right now. I’ve tried it a few times and ended up running into issues mostly with syncing and some weird bugs. I’ve just been exporting to XAMPP and handling it manually for now. It’s a bit more work, but I feel like I have more control over things. Live dev always makes me nervous, but it’s getting better the more I dive in
